Arts Education for Liberation

Critical Pedagogy, Contemporary Art, Anti-Bias/Anti-Racist Teaching, and Social Justice Education are the pillars of my teaching philosophy AND my intellectual candy. I really believe that the arts can save the world.

Subscribe to follow my critical, creative teaching practice, and gain some new tools for your K-16 teacher toolbelt.

Praxis = Theory + Action

What good is theory without action? In all my writing, I aim balance my love for critical theory with practical examples, actionable strategies, and stories from 10+ yrs in the field.

Each month, I’ll share bite-sized chunks of theory, pocket-guides, lesson plans or articles, and resources you can actually use in your classroom. I’ll share digestible chunks of the theories that guide my work AND practical teaching strategies, visual art education resources and lesson plans, and reflections on my own experiences in the classroom.

Ideally, each newsletter leaves you feeling inspired and equipped to develop your own critical, and creative teaching practice.

Support my Work

If you can afford to support me through a paid subscription - please do. Quite literally, you are helping me pay for extra childcare beyond my teaching day, so that I have time to create resources, write articles, organize actions, etc.

Please message me about student rates, or if you just cannot afford the paid subscription fee. I’m happy to create discounts for unemployed, underemployed, and underpaid folks!
